Make one thing fixed. A tamid, not a peak.
In the sitting
Name the three-minute anchor you will keep. Same time if you can.
Ritual
Daily Anchor Practice
- 1Choose one anchor — a pasuk, a bracha, a niggun. Keep it simple enough to actually do.
- 2Set aside three minutes at the same time each day. Same time. Same place if possible.
- 3Show up. Even when you don't feel it. Especially when you don't feel it.
- 4Whisper: Hodu LaHashem ki tov — Give thanks to Hashem, for He is good. Mean it, or try to mean it. Both count.
Hodu LaHashem ki tov — Tehillim 136:1.
Between weeks
- Three minutes, same time each day. A pasuk, a bracha, or a niggun.
- Show up when you do not feel it. That is the week.

Awareness
Getting closer to Hashem doesn't begin with inspiration. It begins with awareness. Not deep thoughts. Not a feeling. Just awareness — of what I'm doing, what I'm saying, and what I'm thinking. Because most of life is lived on autopilot. And awareness is what breaks that.
